The overall vision for Vision & Fire is to provide gatherings that help to tear down walls in the Body of Believers so that we can come together in unity. The first scripture reference God gave me at its inception in 2010 was 1 Corinthians 13:9-12 "For we know in part, and we prophesy in part." It's easy for ministry leaders and our ministries to get "tunnel vision". One of the goals for Vision & Fire is that bringing us together will help to broaden our vision concerning what God is doing in our region and even nation, and seeing how our piece of the puzzle is a part of the larger picture. Another goal is to provide an atmosphere of worship and prayer conducive for the anointing and gifts of the Holy Spirit to flow to help ignite and/or rekindle fires within us to continue the work of ministry we are called to. 

 

When seeking the Lord about this year's theme I was given the title "Be Still and Know". Saturday's session will include messages that point out characteristics and attributes of people in that bible who overcame challenging situations to still accomplish what God called them to do.
